WITH GREAT CHALLENGES COMES GREAT CREATIVE

TelevisaUnivision was challenged with hosting a main presentation and post-show reception for 1300+ attendees at the Jacob Javits Center River Pavilion. Instead of viewing the uniquely shaped space as a limitation, we saw it as an opportunity to create a special floor plan and set design. To maximize the space we utilized the entrance corridor as the main presentation area and transformed the location behind the set into the post-show reception. In a theatrical moment, the 40ft center LED screen lifted up after the main presentation, revealing the second half of the event. Attendees walked over the stage and into the unveiled reception space. This impressive feat not only dazzled the audience, but also played a crucial role in creating distinctive environments within the confines of the venue.

THEIR MOST IMPORTANT EVENT OF THE YEAR

TelevisaUnivision’s Upfront presentation showcased all their exciting updates and partnerships to advertisers and press. We crafted the show with the ad sales, marketing, and executive teams. It was important to highlight impressive statistics, introductions to new shows and programs, and insights about crafting relatable ads for the Hispanic audience. We felt it was especially important to connect the audience with Hispanic consumers on a deeper level than just numbers. To accomplish this, we started the show with a personal story from a young Hispanic woman who stood powerfully in the middle of the audience. Her story set up the rest of the presentation, providing an emotional hook for the audience before educating them on how to effectively reach the hispanic demographic.

THE CULTURE CAN SPEAK FOR ITSELF

We wanted to further showcase the rich and vibrant culture of the Hispanic community in the post show reception. Attendees were immersed in Hispanic culture through food, performance, music, and other interactive experiences. We also partnered with local Hispanic-owned businesses to bring in authentic artwork, snacks, and services that captured the essence of Hispanic culture. These curated details allowed attendees to more fully appreciate the beauty and diversity of the Hispanic community.
